Fish Kare Kare

Ingredients

  • 1/2 k.labahita, deboned and cut into large cubes
  • 1/4 c.cornstarch
  • 3 clover garlic, crushed
  • 1 med. onion, chopped
  • 3 strings sitaw, cut into 2″
  • 2 small eggplant, sliced
  • 1 small puso ng saging
  • 1 tbsp atsuete juice
  • 1 small can tomato sauce
  • 2 tbsp. rice flour
  • peanut butter
  • 2 heads native pechay

Instructions

  1. Marinate labahita cubes in calamansi juice, salt & pepper for 30 minutes.
  2. Saute garlic & onions. Add 1 cup water, vegetable, atsuete juice. Season with salt, pepper & pinch of sugar according to taste. Simmer for 30 minutes.
  3. Add other ingrediets. Simmer. Stir constantly until pechay is cooked. Serve with sauted bagoong alamang
  4. Makes 4-5 servings.
